Tate Modern Family Tours

Join a Family Tour at Tate Modern Each tour is different and unpacks 2-3 artworks through a multisensory experience. They can include responses to textures, shapes, colours and sounds which are expressed verbally and non-verbally. Guides often use hand gestures and activities to explain ideas and encourage children to ask questions and to be curious. Tours are suitable for children aged 5-11 years old and last around 30 minutes. The meeting point at Tate Modern is on Level 2 in the Natalie Bell Building in front of the In the Studio collection. Tours are delivered by volunteers and are sometimes subject to change. It is advised to call the ticket desk on the morning of your visit to confirm which tours are going ahead. Accessibility All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner street. There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Nathalie Bell buildings. Alternatively you can take the stairs. Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses. A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4. Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.
