Join this preview day tour with curator Genevieve Barton to explore the Light and Magic exhibition Led by curator Genevieve Barton, this one hour tour will share information on the creation of this exhibition and focus on selected works important in the story of art photography. Featuring never-before seen works from around the world alongside pieces from Tate’s Collection, Light and Magic: The Birth of Art Photography highlights the vast and varied artistic possibilities of photography as a medium. Light and Magic is presented in the Eyal Ofer Galleries. Curator biography Genevieve Barton Genevieve Barton is a curator and researcher based in London. She is Assistant Curator, International Art at Tate Modern working across exhibitions, acquisitions and displays. Selected projects include the upcoming Light & Magic: The Birth of Art Photography (2026) and Monet: Painting Time (2027), and past shows Emily Kam Kngwarray (2025) and Expressionists: Kandinsky, Münter & The Blue Rider (2024). Accessibility All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner Street.
