The 90s on Screen: Bhaji on the Beach
Revisit the changing face of British culture through a series of iconic films which defined the 90s. Director Gurinder Chadha and writer Meera Syal bring warmth and humour to this frank British comedy. A group of women from an Asian women’s centre take a day trip to see the Blackpool lights. It should be a simple break from their usual routine. But as the minibus rolls along to a Punjabi version of Cliff Richard’s Summer Holiday , tensions soon begin to rise.
