Creative Encounters: Tin Embossing
Gather round this winter and create your own delicate hanging decorations inspired by the Southbank Centre’s iconic architecture, with artist Phoebe Kaniewska. Dive into the simple and rewarding craft of tin embossing and make something to take home to add a delightful little sparkle. Experiment with festive motifs, celestial moons and stars to celebrate the season, or help us wrap up our year of 75th anniversary celebrations by channelling the architecture, the interesting angles and the hidden details of our site into your creations. All materials are provided, but you are warmly invited to bring your own opened and cleaned tomato paste tubes to upcycle and emboss. About the artist Phoebe Kaniewska is an artist and facilitator specialising in social sculpture and collaborative practice. She creates interactive tactile experiences rooted in storytelling, local history and community networks. Creative Encounters is your creative space in the heart of the city, bringing together Londoners old and new for art, making and conversation.
