Join us for the November edition of talk and draw, an engaging session combining close looking, conversation and drawing. This month is Legacy Awareness Month at the Gallery, and to celebrate the impact of gifts in Wills shaping our collection, we will focus on Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 'The Umbrellas', a lively depiction of everyday life on a bustling Parisian street. The painting offers a fascinating glimpse into Renoir's evolving artistic style, bringing together the loose brushwork of Impressionism with a more structured, classical approach. Through guided discussion and practical drawing activities, participants will have the opportunity to explore the work while developing their own creative responses. No previous drawing experience is required, and all materials will be provided. The session will be led by Gallery Educators and artists, Kevin Christensen and William Goldsmith.
