In the heat of a sweltering Indian summer, three generations of women collide in ways that will reshape their lives forever. This raw, female-driven drama follows a stressed-out single mother as she sends her calorie-obsessed daughter and rebellious sister to stay with their great aunt and uncle in Punjab. What she hopes will be a simple grounding in family roots quickly transforms into a journey of seismic discovery. Culture shock, fierce family clashes and unexpected new bonds give way to the unearthing of a long-buried family secret. This screening will be introduced by Chair of Film Wallahs Ritu Soni and will be followed by a panel discussion with Director Eisha Marjara, Professor Rachel Tribe and Dr Ghazala Hameed, which will be hosted by Professor Carmine Pariante.
